Cédric & Caroline
Since they met in 2012, Cédric and Caroline have decided to combine their competences in order to develop both their qualities of dancers and teachers. They are very active leading the local blues and swing scene in Strasbourg (Lindy Spot), as well as they go beyond borders further to dance, teach and perform.
Together, they fell in love with blues since the beginning of their partenership. They have practised and danced a lot to understand how a movement can be easily initiated, from both side of the couple, and how to adapt it to the music.
You will be able to appreciate their dynamic classes, a delicate blend of Cédric’s humor, and Caroline’s poetry. Both of them are keen to impart their ideas through a very progressive pedagogy. One that approaches technique in a very precise and detailed manner, and also teaches movements combining basics, surprises, musicality and grace. Whereas Cédric reminds you of the big principles of musicality, Caroline invites you to explore sensations, emotions and personal expression.

Sep & Alexia

Sep Vermeersch is a unique and committed creative. He’s a passionate jazz, blues & swing dancer. A lifelong student and daily practisioner. When teaching he prefers holding space as a facilitator. It’s about the ‘jazz’ process: historical context, personal development and expressing your own style while trying to appreciate these African American social dances as a guest. He knows how to handle the Dj Booth mixing for dancing crowds or how to hold a mike when supporting events as a sensuous MC. Sep also shapes and organizes events
such as Upside Down Festival, Big City Blues and Upside Down Dance Madness.
The combination of his educational background, playful attitude and daily practice make him an incomparable person to collaborate with. His curiosity for the deep ways of jazz, humanity and his successful performances in the sector make him a welcomed guest in various projects around the globe. Get to meet Sep and allow yourself to be shaken with love and groove.

More than just her job, teaching is Alexia’s passion. She’s been dancing Lindy Hop since 2005, and has founded her own school in the beautiful city of Paris. She’s always exploring how to teach her concepts and values, working hard to respect the original black African American culture, in which she considers herself a lucky guest.
Individual responsibility in the partnership, self-expression, inspiration drawn from music are some go-to topics that she will teach in many different ways. Don’t expect her to micromanage your dancing, cause she won’t! Instead, she will help the students find their own way to move - by themselves and with a partner - in the (let’s hope) spirit of jazz. She’ll shake you in a pleasant and caring way.

The Musicians
...where the lazy meets the groove!
For the parties and your joyful dancing, we invited musicians that tell the blues from their hearts.
Bluespapas
Blues with Soul, Swagger, and a Whole Lot of Fun – Reviewers have praised the Bluespapas for delivering “blues packed with fun and good vibes,” and some have even claimed this trio could light up the dance floors of a Louisiana juke joint. Bluesnews, the leading magazine of the German-speaking blues scene, recommends their latest album as a must-have in any well-curated blues collection.
Bluespapas is the fusion of three seasoned musicians with a deep-rooted love for the blues. Guitarist and vocalist Bernd Simon has been a driving force in the German blues circuit for over four decades, earning recognition through projects like the Matchbox Bluesband and Down Home Percolators. Harmonica player Reiner Lenz and bassist Thomas Heldmann toured extensively—performing more than 500 shows at festivals, street parties, clubs, and pubs—with the late, great Jürgen Queissner under the name Papa Legba's Blues Lounge.
Together, the Bluespapas combine their rich stage experience and infectious joy of playing to bring blues in all its vibrant colors to life. From deep grooves to fiery solos, from raw emotion to foot-stomping fun—this is the blues as it was meant to be: real, alive, and full of heart.

Cédric Clerc
Cédric CLERC started playing guitar at the age of 10. As a teenager, he dove headfirst into
blues rock, a style that shaped his early musical identity. Around the age of 20, he discovered
swing and jazz dancing — and it changed everything. He found a new passion in the music
behind the dances, while keeping one foot firmly planted in the blues.
These days, Cédric plays across Europe with his band, The Rhythm Outlines, and also
performs solo, especially at blues dance festivals. His sets range from laid-back and intimate
to raw and energetic, always rooted in the many colors of the blues. Whether you're a dancer
or just here for the ride, there’s something in the groove for everyone.
